HOW FAR IN ADVANCE BEFORE MY WEDDING DO I NEED TO FIND MY DRESS?

We suggest  you should be ordering your dress approximately 12 months before your Wedding Day.  Various designers have different lead times, therefore, this ensures that your dress arrives in plenty of time allowing time for alterations.

We do have the facility to check stock levels so there may be a possibility of receiving  your gown early, or if you are getting married in the near future we may be able to source the gown for you in time.  There is also an option to “Rush” an order reducing the standard lead times however there is an additional charge for this depending on how quickly you need the dress.

DO I NEED AN APPOINTMENT?

Yes, we operate on an appointment only basis.

This means you are given the attention you deserve and your allocated time slot in store with our Bridal Advisor. Trying on various bridal gowns can take some time, booking an appointment will ensure your experience is enjoyable stress-free and informative.

CAN I WEAR FAKE TAN?

No, we do not allow any kind of tanning products prior to your appointment.

  • PLEASE NOTE: If you have applied fake tan within 48 hours please contact us to reschedule your appointment as soon as possible.

We pride ourselves on presenting our full range of gowns in a clean and pristine condition to every potential bride.

Tanning products can heavily stain or damage our gowns and we reserve the right to terminate any appointments should it be established that tanning products have been applied prior to your appointment.

WARNING: If it is established that you have applied fake tan that has not yet "developed" during your appointment, you may be liable for any damage to the dresses and be charged a cleaning fee to restore the garments to their original condition.

PLEASE NOTE: We reserve the right to terminate your appointment should tanning products be applied prior to your appointment.

HOW LONG DOES AN APPOINTMENT LAST?

We would suggest/recommend that you allocate at least 1 hour for your initial appointment.

This allows plenty of time to browse our collections, chat to advisors and try on the gowns/dresses.

WHO SHOULD I BRING WITH ME TO THE APPOINTMENT?

Someone whose opinion you really trust and who will be honest!

We do not recommend a large crowd as sometimes a range of opinions can be overwhelming for a bride to be.  Everyone will have a different opinion of what you should wear for your wedding day and  more commonly that reflects their own tastes!

HOW DO I GET THE BEST OUT OF THE APPOINTMENT?

Come with an open mind, and be honest with us!

Every dress looks different when it is tried on. Unless you already know what style suits you, be prepared to try different styles - that way you’ll know when you try on the perfect dress.

Eliminating styles is just as important as finding the styles you like in the search for your perfect dress.

Speak to us! - we will not pressure you in any way, tell us what you like and don’t like, it is pointless continuing to try on dresses if you do not like the style, we can help you select dresses.

If you have a budget in mind, please tell us.  There is no need to be embarrassed.  In most cases we will be able to suggest alternatives that will fit with your budget.   We also recommend bringing with you a pair of heels (not necessarily your wedding shoes) this will help give you an idea of how the dress will hang.

WHAT UNDERWEAR SHOULD I WEAR?

It is best to wear a strapless bra on the day of the appointment because this won’t interfere with the shape of any of the dresses.

We also recommend bringing with you a pair of heels (not necessarily your wedding shoes) this will help give you an idea of how the dress will hang.

CAN I TAKE PHOTOGRAPHS?

Unfortunately no, we HIGHLY DISCOURAGE photography in store and you may be asked to stop or place mobile phones or cameras into your bag or jacket pocket for the duration of your appointment.

Please do not be offended if this happens, it is common store policy for bridal boutiques and is in no way personal to you or your party.

AM I ALLOWED FOOD OR DRINK IN STORE?

No, we DO NOT allow food or drink in store.

In order to avoid any accidents or spills we do not allow food or drink inside the store.  This prevents any stains or damage to our gowns during your visit and allows us to present you with our full range in a clean, pristine condition.  You may be asked to leave food or drink outside the store.

CAN I BRING MY PRAM/BUGGY INTO YOUR STORE?

I'm sorry but no.  Our store is quite petite and we would prefer if prams and buggies or children's scooter etc be left either in your car or just outside the store front where they will be perfectly safe.

Please do not be offended if you are asked, this is for health and safety reasons and is to protect you and your party from any accidents while visiting the store.

HOW CAN I PAY FOR MY DRESS?

We normally ask for 50% deposit of the full price of the dress.  The deposit is non-refundable because once the dress is in production and being made, the order cannot be cancelled.

The remaining balance is due within 14 days of the dress arriving in store.  We will contact you to advise that your dress has arrived and arrange a time for collection.  We accept payment by cash or most major debit/credit cards.

WHAT IF THE DRESS REQUIRES SOME ALTERATIONS?

We have a recommended bridal seamstresses that we use regularly who will be happy to help.

She will undertake the alterations in her own work studio, which is where you will have your fitting. She is reasonably priced and her work is fantastic.

When you purchase your bridal gown we will provide you with her details and you can arrange for an appointment in advance of your gown arriving.

DO YOU PROVIDE A STORAGE FACILITY FOR MY DRESS?

Unfortunately we do not provide storage in store.

When you collect your gown we will provide you with a bridal gown bag.   You will then take your gown to the bridal seamstress for your first fitting appointment where your gown will stay until nearer your wedding date.
